Tile Fire Help Produce Impressive Mural with Flea Folly Architects

Tile Fire recently helped London architectural firm, Flea Folly, produce an impressive outside mural on the Greenwich Peninsular called ‘A Pinch in Time’.

This spectacular mural featured over 1200 individually digitally printed tiles, with a giant pinch at its centre. Commissioned by the Greenwich Peninsula, this public artwork takes inspiration from the surrounding rich and industrial context. Using circular motifs from the area such as the Blackwall Gas Tower, the Millennium Dome and the Great Hall in Queens House, it’s a layered pattern instilled with the past.

This layering has translated into a vibrant pattern, which at its centre is literally ‘pinched’ to create an extruded 3-dimensional form, that is eye-catching to all passers-by. Our printing technologyBespoke Tile Murals allows us to print brighter and more vibrant colours than our competitors, making us the perfect company to collaborate with on this project!

The mural can be found on the corner of Millennium Way and Boord Street in North Greenwich and can even be glimpsed from the top deck of the 188 along the Greenwich Peninsular!
