OUR DIGITAL TILE MURAL FOR YUMMY YORKSHIRE’S ICE CREAM PARLOUR
The Digital Tile Mural was Produced for Yummy Yorkshire Ice Cream Parlour
Our team was recently contacted by Concorde Design to produce a custom tile mural for a new ice cream parlour they were designing. They had a illustration of 3 cows that they wanted to use for this. They got in touch to see how they would go about this. First of all we informed them of our price calculator for digital tile murals. They were after something a bit different to our standard size tiles we worked on options for them. They really liked the idea of using metro tiles for the counter wall of the parlour. We set about finding suitable sample metro tiles for the project and the client decided on a 15 x 7.5cm glossy tile. Printing a black illustration on white tiles looks amazing so we were looking forward to starting work on this.
Digital Tile Mural Artwork
Printing on off set metro tiles is a bit harder than a standard layout so we started by providing a digital proof for them. Off set tiles need to line up so getting the proof right means we get the print right. The mural was to fill an area of 1.5m x 1.8m so we set the image to this size. Once our client was happy with the proof we started printing. We also provided the blank metro tiles to fill the rest of the wall so that there was continuity throughout. We think Yummy Yorkshire’s new ice cream parlour looks great and are very proud to have our tiles featured there! The fact that they have old milk bottles for light bulbs is a great touch!
