The Black Duck makes an entrance with a custom mosaic tile floor mural
Tile Fire was contacted by Kris at the The Black Duck coffee shop last year looking to create a bespoke floor mural. They wanted a custom mosaic for the entrance to a new takeaway shop Lindfield, West Sussex that they were about to refit.
Kris sent us some pictures of ideas and other branded floor mosaics that they liked and asked us to create something similar for them. They asked for the name of village ‘Lindfield’ to be made into a mosaic. We quickly mocked up a visual for them to give them an idea of what to expect and they loved it! They asked for a few tweaks until we got the look of the floor mural just right.
We sourced black and white mosaic tiles which are full bodied, so they will never ware down or fade. Perfect for high traffic footfall areas such as shops, restaurants and bars.
The Black Duck used their own local tiler to install the bespoke mosaic floor tiles. We provided a plan to make the job a simple as possible.

The end result looks fantastic, such a statement when the customers walk through the door!
